While there are many good things about NBA 2K23 MyCAREER the year before, such as exciting quests like There's A Cole World, some players are experiencing problems with one major bug. We encountered this in our own NBA 2K23 MyCAREER saving, and it appears when trying to go play the next NBA game causes an all-game freeze.

After trying several different methods, we've stumbled upon one that works and has cleared up Our frozen MyCAREER save. It seems like the issue is linked to the clothing that MyPLAYER is wearing , and the freeze is just before the pre-game fashion walk triggers. This glitch has occurred for players who are working on the Palace Intrigue and Courting Calloway quests in The City, so it's not clear which is the culprit.

We have spotted some inventory items such as those seen in the below image that include plus signs to indicate an additional brand reward, however they are lacking the icon, and other items that were linked to previous quests could have caused this. Before starting the next NBA basketball game we removed the following items: We aren't able to confirm which of these items were responsible for the issue, but they do appear to be the culprit. Calloway's Court items seem most likely since they were the ones that had most recently been received.

In any case, if you're suffering from this issue during the Courting Calloway or Palace Intrigue quests, we suggest taking all of them off and restarting the game to determine if this fixes the bug. For us, these fixes did keep the game freeze from occurring, and allowed that MyCAREER save to run without issue. 2K is likely to release an update in the near future with a more permanent fix and hopefully this workaround will help until then.

NBA 2K23's MyCAREER will not be complete without The Neighborhood, and this year for Current Gen consoles (PS4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch), The Neighborhood will be on board the G. O. A. T. Boat.
